Our Story & Mission

Our Story

Outlander Farms was born from resilience.

Rooted in the rugged beauty of Colorado, we are native Coloradans who carry our heritage proudly — English lineage on one side, Scottish ancestry on the other, with Clan Stewart and Clarke traditions woven deep in our story. Strength, grit, and reverence for the land have always shaped who we are.

French ancestry also runs through my bloodline. The family name La Beau — meaning “the beautiful” — is part of my heritage. Over time, I’ve come to understand that beauty is not perfection. It is strength refined by hardship. It is confidence rebuilt. It is resilience revealed.

In 2021, my husband and I took a leap of faith and began a homesteading journey in Missouri, seeking a simpler and more intentional way of life. The years that followed refined us in ways we never anticipated. From 2021 through 2024, we endured significant losses and challenges — the kind that test your faith, your endurance, and your identity.

We could have stopped.

Instead, I adopted a mantra rooted in my French ancestry:

Je suis prête.

I am ready.

Ready to rebuild.
Ready to learn.
Ready to endure.
Ready to rise again.

Those words became more than a phrase. They became our motto. A declaration that no matter what we faced, we would meet it prepared and willing.

During that same season, my body began speaking to me in unfamiliar ways.

At 39 years old, I experienced bacterial vaginosis for the first time. I didn’t immediately understand what was happening — only that something felt off. I began researching quietly, learning, asking questions, and realizing how many women silently navigate similar imbalance.

At the same time, I was battling dyshidrotic eczema on my hands and feet — painful flare-ups that made everyday life uncomfortable.

After exhausting conventional routes with little lasting relief, a dear friend introduced me to beef tallow — a traditional ingredient long valued for its skin-supportive properties.

Curiosity became research.
Research became formulation.
Formulation became restoration.

Through simple, time-honored ingredients and careful experimentation, I began supporting my skin barrier and restoring balance in a way that felt aligned with my body.

But my experience at 39 stayed with me.

I kept asking myself:
How many women are navigating this without understanding what’s happening?
How many feel embarrassment instead of empowerment?

That question led to the creation of the Lady Bar.

It was formulated with intention — not to mask, not to overpower, but to gently cleanse, respect the body, and support natural balance. From there, The Lady Collection was born: thoughtfully crafted feminine care and skin-supportive products made with high-quality, traditional ingredients and deep respect for the body’s design.

At Outlander Farms, we believe in:

• The beauty of simplicity
• The strength found in tradition
• Honest, transparent formulations
• And honoring the signals your body gives you

To us, “La Beau” is more than a name in a lineage. It represents what this brand stands for — restoring confidence, honoring natural beauty, and helping women feel whole and secure in their own skin again.

Every product is handcrafted in small batches with integrity and purpose.

Our journey through loss, rebuilding, health challenges, and homesteading shaped this brand. It taught us that resilience is built slowly — and that sometimes the greatest strength begins with quietly saying:

Je suis prête.

I am ready.

And we are honored to walk that journey with you.
